Polishing week
Over this past week I have been polishing up some of my work from the past 9 weeks, I have also completed my essay evaluating these projects. I stuck to the schedule I put in place last week.
The first day was spent planning and writing 3/4 parts of the essay and the second day was spent finishing this essay and then working on the wilderness warrior project. I baked out some implied lighting and added it to the textures, fixing little things as I went.
On the third day I fixed the rigging on my character and re rendered and uploaded it to sketchfab.
On the third day I also started to fix up my Through the gate project; working on the lighting, fixing textures so they are more coherent and modelling and unwrapping new assets.
Day 4 consisted of highpoly modelling, sculpting, baking, texturing, placing assets, making particle effects and fixing lighting. On the last day I handed everything in and re rendered my through the gate project.
I feel relieved that the style matrix projects are finally over, however there is now only one project left until we finish university for good; the FMP. I am looking forward to working on this soon as we have to prepare for a presentation next week Tuesday; I will update on how the FMP planning is going next week. I am also going to hopefully find sometime over the holiday to work on my shop front fixing all of the problems I outlined in the "Polishing week plan" blog. I also want to continue with a realistic project I was working on before the style matrix briefs which is an african inspired tree of life; however depending on how hectic christmas is I might not find the time to work on this.
