  • What the best thing for me to be working on right now? (Character model?)

Feedback

  • Art style tips:

  • Use the same stone on the floor that is on the walls to help tie them together.

  • Use the same colours used in the tiles on the walls.

  • Use decals to help bring the two together (walls & floors).

  • Use lighting to help sell the scene (at the moment it is in bright daylight and that's not how its going to be in game.

  • Make the pillars and accent pieces a different hue or shade to help break up the scene/walls.

  • Silhouette is key when making something simple look good.

  • Use decals or props to physically connect the two together (walls and floors) e.g. drapery or foliage.

  • What should/could I be working on whilst James is doing level designs:

  • Character design, 3D model, rig and animations.

  • Sky sphere (with clouds and floating geometry).

  • Making textures for the terrain.

Objectives for next week

  • Have a final design for Phe.

  • Start modelling Phe.
