Agenda

  • Show the current version of engine

  • What the best way to come up with a finished looking piece of work for hand in?

  • What should we do with the tower?

Feedback

  • Notes on visuals/game:

  • We have a good understanding/handle on the outside section (leave it for the moment and just polish it later)

  • Figure out the layout of the base of the tower and make use of what we already have

  • We can either do a simple roof with torches on the interior or a ruined tower with no roof so that it is open air or do a mixture of the two so we have torches and holes in the ceiling for lighting

  • The puzzles need more in game logic and guide UI

  • Having the narrative section at the end would be nice but not necessary - However if it affects the game play it might be worth doing

  • We need something to round off the game and give it an ending (the narrative section might work well)

  • Vertical slice should feel finished for the MA hand-in

  • Notes on written work:

  • Break written work into 3 sections:

  • What do I want to be assessed on:

  • Art production:

  • Tools used

  • Process - block out through to finished pieces

  • Experimentation

  • Document the refinements

  • Sexy screenshots

  • Written commentary (is it sexy? why its sexy?)

  • Planning

  • Working in a group

  • Art direction:

  • Moodboards

  • Concepts

  • Overall artstyle

  • Write assessment criteria and go though it with Heather

  • Written assessment should feel concluded (everything needs to feel finished)

  • Decide whats happening with the roof of the tower

  • Finish the tower

  • Polish the outside area

  • Write assessment critera and go over it with Heather
