Modelling, unwrapping and texturing interior assets

All of the main assets for the house are now modelled, including the bathroom assets:

The majority of the house assets are now unwrapped as well, these are the ones that are left to be unwrapped:

  • Shoe rack

  • Chest of draws (Landing)

  • Desk (Downstairs)

  • Washing Basket (Downstairs)

  • Bin

  • DVD rack

  • Bookcase

  • TV

  • Coffee Table

  • Armchair

  • Sofa

  • Washing Machine

  • Fridge

  • Counter 1, 2 & 3

  • Light shade

  • Light bulb

After all of these are unwrapped I will move onto finishing the house model; adding details to the walls and floors. Then everything can be textured.

I started texturing some assets as a test, I used 3d coat and then finished them off in photoshop.

I also worked on finishing burnards model and unwrapped him. We decided to use flipbook textures to create his flames (James has been painting these). I modelled a ball for his main body and then formed 2 sock like shaped around him to be textured with tiling flames.

We also went through the level as a group and made notes on what needed to be fixed over the holiday. This is my list:

  • Make the plushies varying sizes

  • Bathroom sink needs to be smoother (add more chamfers)

  • Fix the smoothing groups on the bed (mattress and pillows)

  • Make the taps larger on the bathroom assets

  • The desks legs look weird (downstairs)

  • TV should be smaller

  • Add a water plane to the sink
